Granite Warranty Information

.Vangura Surfacing Products warrants for a lifetime to the original owners of installed “Vangura Granite or Quartz” the following:

• “Vangura Granite and Quartz” will be stain resistant to common food and beverage liquids; and

• Polished edges will not fade or lose gloss; and

• The stones will be free from material defect.

In the event of gloss deterioration, staining, or a material defect occurring in the stone during the warranty period, Vangura Surfacing Products will:

• Repair or help in repairing the products; or

• At its option, repair or replace the products containing material defect in the stone.

What this limited lifetime warranty covers:

• This limited lifetime warranty covers “Vangura Granite and Quartz” products that have been permanently installed in your residence by an authorized Vangura Installer and that have been registered with Vangura Surfacing Products.

• This limited lifetime warranty covers “Vangura Granite and Quartz” products that have been maintained with “Vangura Cleaner, Vangura Polish and Vangura Sealer” in accordance with the Care and Maintenance guide provided free of charge at the time of installation. You may request additional copies of the guide from Vangura Surfacing Products • 14431 Route 30 • North Huntingdon, PA 15642.

• This limited lifetime warranty covers “Vangura Granite and Quartz” products that have been stripped, cleaned, sealed and polished annually by an authorized Vangura Representative. You will be notified, via US Mail, fax and/or e-mail, annually on the installation anniversary, of this billable service. Simply fill out the card in its entirety and return to Vangura Surfacing Products. (If you do not hear from Vangura Surfacing Products within 30 days of your anniversary date, you must immediately contact us at Warranty Administrator • 14431 Route 30 • North Huntingdon, PA 15642 or call 412-824-0772)

What this limited lifetime warranty does not cover:

• This limited lifetime warranty does not cover “Vangura Granite or Quartz products that are not installed by an Authorized Vangura Installation Team.

• Because “Vangura Granite and Quartz” products are natural stone or made from natural stone; they are subject to veining and slight variances included but not limited to color, shade, particle structure, surface irregularities, fissures or other variances that naturally occur in the stone. These variances are not covered by this warranty.

• This limited lifetime warranty does not cover any additional or supplemental repairs or modifications such as, for example, any plumbing, electrical, tile, or wall surface modifications that may be necessary to repair or replace the “Vangura Granite or Quartz” product covered under this limited lifetime warranty; such other repairs and modifications shall be the responsibility of the customer.

• This limited lifetime warranty is non-transferable and does not cover claims made by subsequent owners of your home.

• This limited lifetime warranty does not cover uses of “Vangura Granite or Quartz” products exposed to acid etching, abnormal use or conditions, or abuse in any way. “Abnormal use or conditions” include, but are not limited to, damage from mishandling or misuse, damage from excessive heat, scorching or exposure to weather conditions, physical or chemical abuse, damage from improper care and maintenance and damage from chipping, cracking, impact damage or breaking due to customer abuse.

• Vangura Surfacing Products is not responsible for damage or injury caused in whole or in part by acts of God, job site conditions, architectural and engineering design, structural movement, acts of vandalism, or accidents.

• This limited lifetime warranty does not cover seam performance.

• This limited lifetime warranty does not cover “Vangura Granite or Quartz” product that you, the customer decide you do not like after installation due to color, edging styles or other opinions based on personal preference.

To register for this limited lifetime warranty, you must fill out the warranty registration online at www.vangura.com or fill out the registration form included in your gift box. You must register within sixty (60) days of installation to be eligible under this limited lifetime warranty.

In order to obtain service under this limited lifetime warranty, you must permit Vangura Surfacing Products authorized agent to inspect your “Vangura Granite or Quartz” product at your residence. Also, you must reasonably cooperate with your Vangura Surfacing Products agent in the efforts to service this limited lifetime warranty.

Except as provided in this limited lifetime warranty, Vangura Surfacing Products shall not be liable in either tort or contract for any loss of direct, consequential or incidental damages arising out of the use or inability to use the product in residential applications covered by this warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which may vary, from state to state.

Vangura Surfacing Products makes no other warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, with respect to “Vangura Granite or Quartz”, except as expressly stated herein. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

This is the only limited lifetime warranty offered by Vangura Surfacing Products for “Vangura Granite and Quartz”. No one other than Vangura Surfacing Products is authorized to make any warranty or promise with respect to Vangura Surfacing Products.

This warranty is valid for “Vangura Granite and Quartz” products that were purchased after July 1, 2007.

Engineered Stone Warranty Information

Vangura® Surfacing Products offers this limited warranty to the end users of Vangura® engineered stone products for a period equal to that of the material manufacturers warranty.

Vangura® Surfacing Products warrants the Vangura® – Engineered with Silestone product and workmanship will be free from manufacturing defects.

This limited warranty does not apply to color variances, thermal shock, chemical abuse or defects caused by misuse. If a manufacturing defect occurs with the warranty period, Vangura® Surfacing Products will at its discretion, repair or replace the defective material. In the event the material is replaced under warranty the end user is responsible for all costs associated with removal and installation, as well as addition costs that may include plumbing and electrical services.

Warranty Limitations

There are no other express warranties or conditions respecting the Product. Implied warranties, if any, are limited to the duration of the express warranty provided herein. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts so that the foregoing limitation may not apply to you.

Tru-Rez Warranty Information

Congratulations on your new TRU-REZ™ countertop from Vangura! With proper care and maintenance, your new TRU-REZ™ countertop will give you many years of wonderful service. For a period of one year from the date of delivery or installation by Vangura, Vangura warrants that the countertop workmanship will be free from manufacturing defects. Within the one-year time period, Vangura will, at its discretion, repair or replace the countertop if it fails due to a defect in workmanship. The repair or replacement does not include associated labor costs. The warranty applies only to properly installed TRU-REZ™ product under normal use and wear. The warranty does NOT cover the following:

(1) Water damage. Do not allow water, wet rags, plants, dish racks or appliances (e.g., coffee makers) to sit on or near deck seams or edges of your TRU-REZ™ countertop. Doing so can cause the seam to bubble and swell. When washing the countertop, dry the area immediately; do not allow water to sit. Dishwashers must be positioned forward enough as to not allow hot steam to penetrate the substrate and swell it. Because all of the aforementioned damage is caused by moisture, it is not covered under the warranty.

(2) Improper installations or product modifications, repairs or alterations made to the countertop, miter joints or sink cut-outs, etc, by someone other than Vangura.

(3) Defects arising from improper care and cleaning of the TRU-REZ™ product according to the guidelines provided by Vangura (see below). Improper care and cleaning includes using abrasive cleaners or steel wool scouring pads, cleaners containing acids, alkali or bleach; oven and metal cleaners, magic erasers, chlorine bleaches, lime or mineral cleaners, etc. Hair dye will also damage the countertop and is not covered under Vangura’s warranty.

(4) Heat in excess of 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Heat damages include, but are not limited to, excessive heat due to heaters, electric cook pots, frying pans, coffee pots, appliances, table top grills, cigarettes, etc.

(5) Product failure from fire, water, improper handling or storage, biological infestations or other circumstances creating conditions beyond the reasonable operating tolerance of the product; product failure due to acts of God.

(6) Cosmetic irregularities of the installed TRU-REZ™ product due to compromising install situations, such as uneven cabinets or walls.

(7) Misuse or abuse of the countertop after it has been delivered and accepted by the receiving party.

Vangura does not warrant against variation in patterns and colors where seams are present. This warranty only applies to Vangura’s TRU-REZ™ product that is stored, handled and installed in the manner recommended by Vangura. Vangura has the right to determine whether the defectively manufactured countertop should be repaired or replaced. Vangura shall have the right to inspect any TRU-REZ™ countertop that is claimed to have been defectively manufactured to determine that the claim is within the warranty as defined herein. This warranty is not transferable and expires upon resale or transfer by the first consumer purchase.

Using Your TRU-REZ™ Countertop

Avoid cutting directly on the countertop with knives or sharp objects. Always use a cutting board or mat.

Do not drop or hit the countertop directly with hard utensils to avoid permanent scratches or dents.

Do not slide abrasive materials across your countertop, such as earthenware dishes, to avoid permanent scratches to the finish, especially a gloss finish, or to the countertop itself.

Do not place hot objects, such as a frying pan, directly on the countertop. Always use a trivet.

Avoid the use of small appliances, such as coffee pots, that may cause heat or moisture damage near any seams or edges.

Keep all joints, seams, and sink frame areas dry. Clean liquid spills in these areas immediately. Not doing so could cause moisture damage and swelling.

Cook top ranges must be elevated high enough as to not allow direct heat or fumes to damage the edges of the countertop.

How to Clean Your TRU-REZ™ Countertop

To clean your countertop, use a damp cloth and a mild soap or detergent. Immediately dry the countertop – pooling water may eventually soak in and cause damage.

Immediately clean up spills with a cloth; if need be, use mild detergent and warm water to clean. Dry immediately.

For tougher stains, use a mild detergent and a soft bristled brush. Dry immediately.

TRU-REZ™ countertops can be dusted with non-oily furniture spray or specific countertop cleaning sprays.

Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, or cleaners containing acids, alkali or bleach. Avoid spilling drain cleaner, textile or food dyes on your countertop as this can stain your countertop.

Solid Surface Warranty Information

Vangura® Surfacing Products offers this limited warranty to end users of Vangura® Solid Surface product. For a period of ten years from the date of installation, Vangura® Surfacing Products warrants that the Solid Surface product and workmanship will be free from manufacturing defects. This limited warranty does not apply to color variances, thermal shock, chemical abuse or defects caused by misuse. If a manufacturing defect occurs within the warranty period, Vangura® Surfacing Products will at its option, repair or replace the defective solid surface products at no cost to the end user, including labor charges.

This warranty only applies to Vangura’s Solid Surface Material which is stored, handled, and installed in the manner recommended by Vangura® Surfacing Products.This warranty is not transferable and expires upon resale or transfer by the first consumer purchaser. This warranty shall not apply to defects or damage arising from any of the following:

(1) Improper installation; by non-authorized Vangura® installer

(2) Accidents, abuse or misuse

(3) Exposure to extreme temperature

(4) Improper maintenance

No other warranties, express or implied, are made, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Under no circumstances shall Vangura® Surfacing Products and/or its Solid Surface suppliers be liable for any loss or damage arising from the purchase, use or inability to use this product, or for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages. No fabricator, installer, dealer, agent or employee of Vangura® Surfacing Products has the authority to modify the obligations or limitations of this warranty.
