For nearly four decades, Vangura® has offered only the best laminate, solid surface and stone countertops to discerning customers. From the very first day, we've maintained a level of excellence unmatched by any other manufacturer. Our dedication and reputation is as solid today as our products.

VANGURA KITCHEN TOPS was founded in 1971 in West Mifflin, Pa. The original operation had two employees working out of a 1,200 sq. ft. warehouse, cutting post-form countertops.

In 1977 we incorporated and relocated to North Versailles, Pa. Our new operation occupied 3,200 sq. ft. and had five workers. From 1977 to 1984, we grew to 8,000 sq. ft. and 13 employees. We also expanded our product lines to include a complete custom line.

Then in 1984 we committed to manufacturing all of our own products. We changed our name to VANGURA LAMINATED PRODUCTS and expanded to 14,000 sq. ft., with 17 employees. Upon completion we had outgrown the entire facility and immediately began our plans for our current facility.

Construction began on May 1, 1987, and by January 1, 1988, the 30,000 sq. ft. Blue Dell plant was fully operational. We continued to add and change, again and again. By January 1, 1997, our laminate and solid surface facility exceeded 105,000 sq. ft. with better than 80 full-time employees.

Again, our name no longer suited our organization, thus, on May 23, 1995, we changed our corporate name to VANGURA SURFACING PRODUCTS.

During this ongoing expansion, our research and development team was totally engulfed in the stone industry. Spending five years on the project, it came to fruition on February 24, 1998, in the opening of "The Quarry." This facility occupied 20,000 sq. ft. in North Versailles and boosted the most technologically advanced facility of its time.

"The Quarry" has also outgrown itself.  In early 2004, we expanded The Quarry with the addition of a staggering 60,000 sq. ft. expansion, including 15,000 sq. ft. of offices, stone showroom and gallery. This expansion provided us the efficiency to producing laminate, solid surface and stone products at one site: "The Blue Dell." With the addition of the new Quarry, we now have nearly 185,000 sq. ft. of advanced modern manufacturing space, along with more than 100 of the most experienced artisans in the industry.

In 2009, we completed the second phase of the new Quarry expansion – a second floor laminate and solid surface showroom. This 3,500 sq. ft. showroom features the latest trends and best techniques for kitchens, baths, bars and home applications. Touch screen monitors quickly display “How To” videos, so customers can easily see the basics of countertop manufacturing, installation and delivery options.

While Vangura® has grown in size and capabilities—our reputation for excellence has grown too. Throughout it all, we've maintained a level of quality and service that no other company can match. Today, and in the future, you can be assured that Vangura® will always stand for excellence.
