We just love fall! It’s the time for cozy blankets and apple-crisp air, brightly-colored leaves and, of course, pumpkin spice galore. So as we embrace the changing of seasons, let’s talk about ways to bring fall into your kitchen.
1.) Create an autumn-inspired centerpiece
Bring together elements of autumn for your kitchen table. It could be something as simple as adding a bowl of apples and pine cones you found in your backyard. Get a little more festive by adding a burlap table runner, miniature pumpkins and sunflowers. Want the same look as up above? DIY here.
2.) Candles, candles and more candles
Lighting a candle not only makes your home smell divine, but adds to autumn’s charm. Look for candles scented with cinnamon, apple, vanilla, clove and other spicy aromas to inspire the autumn mood.
3.) Dishware and glassware
Introduce pumpkin- or leaf-decorated dishware and glassware to add the autumn touch. Create a pretty autumn scene on your kitchen or dining room table for looks or use when you have guests over. They’ll love it.
4.) Add fall accessories
Adding fall accessories to your kitchen could be a simple wreath to a wall or baskets with corn stalks and leaves on your counter. Get extra creative with mason jars by circling it with burlap and painting the letters of “fall” on each jar. Then simply add flowers to the jars for an easy DIY project.
5.) Cook up something cozy
Fall is the time for warming yourself up with soups, chili’s and stews. We love this recipe for Butternut Squash Chili. It not only has the flavors of fall, but the orangey-amber colors get us ready for chilly days.
6.) Festive Flooring
There’s nothing quite like a cozy rug under your toes. Add some autumn festivity to your kitchen with orange, yellow or red rugs with leaf details.
7.) Treat Yourself
Whether it be a delicious homemade apple cider or autumn-y sangria, treat yourself as the seasons change. Fall is the best time to get comfortable in front of a bonfire with a drink in your hand. Get the recipe here.
